The Swiss franc - CHF
The franc (CHF) is the most widely used currency in Switzerland and Liechtenstein. The particularity of the banknotes of this currency is that it has phrases in the four official languages of Switzerland: French, German, Italian and Romansh.
The currency is freely convertible and is registered in the CLS, an international system, which performs calculations of financial conversion procedures.
The franc index is the most stable, by far. Throughout the unit of currency existence there has only been one devaluation, and that was in connection with the Great Depression in the United States.
ChF franc exchange rate
The CHF franc exchange rate is determined at international currency market trades. This unit of currency is most common in countries with historically low interest rates.
If you are planning a trip to Switzerland, it is best to have some currency in hand, as the CHF exchange rate and price in Switzerland itself is considerably higher than in other countries.
